Sims 3 XBOX 360 (Quick Review)
It’s here, It’s finally here. Yes they did it, they managed to bring the epic PC Sim to the XBOX 360.
While it is on the other consoles I will only be discussing the 360; why you would play it on any other console is beyond me…
Well as the title implies this is one of my many quick reviews.
I apologize for so many quick reviews I am so busy and need to put content up so you will have something to look at.
For the sake of this game its hard to write a complete review as this game has the potential to never end, depending on the amount of expansions they may add in the future.
All of my basis in this review will be the comparison of the PC version which I have spent countless hours playing.
I won’t get too much into describing a Sims game to you since if your unfamiliar with what the SIMS games are about then you most likely have lived under a rock for the past 10 years.
Just as the name implies it is a Sims or Simulation game. You create the world you inhabit, and if you so desire you become the character you create.
You work, you play, you love, you cause mayhem, you learn to fish, you steal stuff, you build stuff, you woohoo with that special someone, you have kids, you adopt kids,
and you even put kids up for adoption. I would say that basically scratches the surface of what Sims 3 is all about.
The graphics are stunning, and run quite smooth. In comparison with my PC that I had to buy a new video card just to be able to play this game Iam quite impressed.
For me the 360 runs a lot smoother and has not even once given me a blue screen of death as my PC has many many times.
The greatest difference is in the loading times; wow is how fast the 360 can load from the harddrive.
I highly recommend you install this game to your harddrive before attempting to play.
Now as this game has not been out that long I am certain there will be a ton of downloadable content just as with the P.C.; I believe there are 4 expansions to date.
At the moment the only downloadable content comes in the form of some cool furniture and some hair styles.
I have downloaded the furniture pack but for some reason cannot find where it is located. I will comment on later once I find out how I can use it.
The controls are a beast!!!
This may be the first and only time you will ever see me say that this game is better with a keyboard and mouse setup; yikes I actually said that.
A bit of a learning curve in figuring out how to do everything with the one controller.
I give a huge amount of props to EA for figuring out how to utilize every single button on the 360 controller.
The lowdown or Rent vs. Buy.
You must buy this game!!!
simply put you will not get the full experience trying to rent this title.
It’s the sort of game that for the most part never ends. You can complete all of the tasks and aspirations your sim is aspiring to but that’s not all there is to a Sims game.
For me its building the cool pad or how many women I can get with, ‘ya baby, ya’; Austin Powers would be proud.
